Sending an email to email@example.com is the best way to get Blackboard help.
With recent personnel changes, there has been some confusion as to who does what regarding Blackboard support. We hope to mitigate the confusion by funneling all support requests to the firstname.lastname@example.org email address. Every employee on the Blackboard support team will receive those emails, ensuring that the correct person can quickly take the appropriate action.
To ensure the best service, please include your name, CCSJ ID#, course department/number/section (e.g. CMIS115X), detailed description of the problem, and a call-back number if necessary.
Here are a few of the things with which email@example.com can help:
-Copying course data
Instructors: It is the Blackboard team's responsibility to create your course(s) and enroll students. Please note that we only add students to your course(s); we do not remove them. It is your responsibility to ensure that your Blackboard course enrollments reflect those of MyCCSJ (Empower). You can find additional help at http://www.ccsj.edu/blackboard/Instructors.php.
Instructors, since we've transitioned eTextbook providers, I have received several emails from instructors who only have a 'Preview' option for their eTextbook(s). I have confirmed with Vitalsource that this is the correct behavior. Clicking the 'Preview' button will allow full access to the eTextbook. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
